The Danby Music Group, an informal collection of keen local musicians, met last Thursday at the Duke of Wellington Inn for an evening playing a miscellany of folk pieces from around the globe.
The twelve performers played a range of musical instruments which included the violin, flute, accordion, guitar and ukulele and were led by renowned local musician Tony O’Donnell Senior. The gathered audience very much enjoyed the group’s efforts and took advantage of several opportunities to sing along to the melodies.
The group meets at the Duke of Wellington Inn on the first Thursday of the month between 8pm-10pm and all are welcome.
