"I can't recommend and praise this little hotel highly enough. The welcome by the owners was friendly without being gushing, the room was clean, well appointed and extremely comfortable. The food was superb, especially the meat pie. The location, by car, is within easy reach of Whitby, Runswick, Staithes and Middlesborough together with countless walks over the moor. The hotel is within walking distance of the train station, as a bonus."

Bathroom with bath and shower over all in immaculate condition. TV and tea and coffee making, good lights and large wardrobe. Secure bicycle storage. Very tasty breakfast, with plenty of choice and well presented. Traditional cosy bar with good choice of beers and wines. Great value and couldn't have asked for more."
